What is the Governance 1st™ AI Governance Platform?

Governance 1st is an end-to-end Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed to help organizations implement a complete AI Governance framework. It provides structured workflows for oversight committees, risk management, documentation, training, safeguards, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

How do I access the Governance 1st platform?

Governance 1st is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that you access via web browser. Your email credentials will be aligned to your organization’s email domain.

Who is Governance 1st designed for?

It is built for organizations deploying generative AI, machine learning, or automated decision systems, especially those concerned with operational risk, regulatory exposure, workforce impacts, enterprise-wide accountability, and optimized productivity.

Do I need technical expertise to use Governance 1st?

No. The platform is built for HR leaders, operations teams, and business owners. Technical users will appreciate the depth, but non-technical users can fully operate it.

How do user roles and permissions work?

User permissions are enforced server-side. Roles determine what data a user can see, what steps they can modify, and which organizational units they can interact with.

How does Governance 1st help with compliance?

The system aligns your processes with emerging regulatory frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act principles, state-level regulations, ISO 42001, and others) by turning those expectations into structured, trackable workflows.

What security model does Governance 1st use?

Governance 1st uses a secure session-based model with server-enforced authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), strict table whitelisting, field-level validation, and a zero-trust front-end architecture. All database interactions flow through a hardened CRUD gateway. Our detailed Security white paper addresses platform security in more detail.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and the hosting platform supports encrypted-at-rest storage. All external access is routed through a secure PHP gateway.

What data does Governance 1st store?

The platform only stores governance-related information such as:

• committees

• members

• use cases

• risks

• documentation

• training modules

• safeguards

• monitoring widgets

It does not store operational business data, customer data, or employee performance data.

How is the solution priced?

Roadmap and Workforce Navigator are each a flat fee based on employee size tiers. Compass is priced per each employee in the company using AI. All products are licensed on an annual basis.

HR Consulting Services are available for additional cost to end-user organizations.

Using the Platform

How do I login?

Once your Administrator creates your account, you will login using your email address on the login screen. Click “Create an account” the first time you login and you will be prompted to create a password.

How do I create a new user?

Administrators can access the utility to add organizations and emails by pressing shift-ctrl-F1. Super admin privileges are required to add new users.

Does Governance 1st use Single Sign-On (SSO)?

No, not yet. Governance 1st currently uses secure first-party login.

If I am an HR Consultant, can I login with multiple companies?

Yes, you will need to login to each company with a unique email address.

Is there a mobile app?

At this time, the platform is optimized for tablet, laptop, and desktop use only.

What is Governance 1st AI Roadmap?

Roadmap guides HR leaders and teams through the HR Rebooted Seven Step methodology for developing and deploying AI strategy at your organization. The platform guides you through the milestones to developing AI policy, training teams, and enabling adoption, while protecting against risk and demonstrating compliance.

How do I connect my calendar application to Roadmap?

Google calendars are already integrated, an ICS file can be downloaded to add a meeting to calendars other than Google.

Can I connect to Zoom, Google Meet or other meeting platforms?

Yes, the meeting information is included in the meeting invite.

AI Compass

What is Governance 1st AI Compass?

Compass drives AI governance across your organization by enforcing safeguards, tracking usage, and optimizing performance. It mitigates risk and ensures compliance by allowing users to establish use cases, guardrails and filters on how AI is used. It empowers organizations to ensure responsible workforce usage of AI solutions, maximizing the benefits while minimizing risks.

What AI platforms are integrated with Compass?

ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude are standard integrations.

What other solutions can be integrated?

Any solution with an open, restful API can be easily integrated into Compass, including LLMs.

Workforce Navigator

What is Workforce Navigator?

Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, World Economic Forum, and other trusted sources, Workforce Navigator is a SaaS solution that helps HR leaders forecast and plan for the impact AI will have on jobs and how that disruption will affect your employees in your organization.

Is there a version for individual users?

There will be a version for individual users in Q2 2026

Do I have to purchase the entire platform to use Workforce Navigator?

No, you do not have to purchase Roadmap and Compass to use Navigator, but if you are a Roadmap customer you can link to Navigator within the product.

When should I take the HR Rebooted AI Gap Analysis survey?

Companies preparing to embark on the journey of AI adoption and workforce transformation should take the survey.

The survey is designed for individuals or leaders, and a custom Gap Analysis report is delivered upon completion.

When should I take the HR Rebooted AI Leadership readiness survey?

Leaders being tasked with driving AI strategy, policy, training, and enablement should take this survey. The survey is designed for anyone in the organization preparing for the impact of AI usage and how leadership needs to prepare.
